Dana Hills Tops Fountain Valley 42-24 as Barons’ Struggles Continue (2024)

Fountain Valley’s struggles continued Friday night as the team fell 42-24 to Dana Hills, marking their seventh straight loss. The Barons put up a fight but couldn’t keep pace with the Dolphins, who came in heavily favored. Despite their efforts, Fountain Valley remains in a tough spot as their season progresses.

Dana Hills took control behind the strong performances of quarterback Vanden Dugger and running back Radley Geiss. Dugger completed 87.5% of his passes, throwing for 222 yards and four touchdowns. Geiss added 156 yards on the ground with two touchdowns, averaging 7.8 yards per carry. Dugger has now thrown for three or more touchdowns in his last three games, continuing a streak dating back to last season. “Chuck” Eckl also helped seal the victory with two scores of his own.

For Fountain Valley, the loss dropped them to 1-7. Their defense couldn’t find answers against Dana Hills’ high-powered offense, but the Barons showed determination on both sides of the ball.
