Los Alamitos Suffers Big Road Loss to Lincoln, 24-14 (2024)
Los Angeles – Lincoln High Stadium
Los Alamitos battled hard against Lincoln on the road during Saturday, but ultimately fell 24-14 in a matchup of two top teams in the state.
The Griffins had difficulty slowing down Lincoln’s dominant rushing attack, led by Aden Jackson, who racked up 256 yards on the ground with two touchdowns. Jackson’s longest run was a stunning 88-yard dash that helped power the Hornets’ offense to a total of 325 rushing yards.
Los Alamitos’ defense had some strong moments, but Lincoln’s relentless pressure was difficult to overcome. The Griffins’ offense was held down by Lincoln’s six sacks, with Dylon Dunn leading the charge by bringing down Senior Los Alamitos quarterback Alonzo Esparza. Despite the Griffins’ best efforts, Lincoln’s defense kept them at bay for most of the game.
This loss marks the second in a row for Los Alamitos, dropping their record to 4-3. However, the team will have a chance to bounce back when they face Edison on October 18th after a week off. Edison, riding a four-game home winning streak, will present a tough challenge, but the Griffins will look to regain their momentum and get back in the win column.
